Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles on a number of TV shows, and for her enthralling performance in films. Both Canadian and American Television are avid fans of Emily VanCamp. Emily first became interested when she saw her sister Katie working on a film. After discovering her enthusiasm in the world of acting Emily decided to enroll in classes to learn about it and started to audition. She was initially cast in a couple of commercials before being offered a role on the Canadian kids' horror TV show Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? In the show, she appeared only in one scene, without any dialogue. The first time she was seen on screen was around the age of 15 when she was cast in the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's talents was noticed by Greg Berlanti after the series was cancelled after only nine episodes. He cast Emily in Everwood which is his upcoming TV show. Emily, who is also a photographer and ballerina was praised by Teen magazine as one the best actresses younger than 20. In Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed Emily as the top 51.
