Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Early on, her father became interested in theater. While being a student at Emory University, he performed at several shows in Atlanta. The air force was drafted in the year 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, he appeared in an military production starring Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the air force. In 1955, the couple tied the knot and in 1956 their son Eric Anthony was born. In 1957 the couple left the air force and Walter was enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. The family relocated in 1960 into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1964 Walter together with Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they designed and funded. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. The program ran for about six years. They had Lelisa Billingsley (also referred to as Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
