Gerina-Piller

She was born on 29 March 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She has Mexican roots, yet is American as a national. At a very young age her drive to become involved in sports was evident. Gerina started playing golf at the age of she turned 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School for her secondary education. At the age of 16, she was a winner in the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. In addition, she was a volleyball player at the level of state. At the age of 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. In her senior year she took home the top prize in every competition that was entered. While in her university career, she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
