Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her debut as an amateur at the age of 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd then went on to win three fights consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were finished within the first few minutes. Aspen returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put a black mark on Ladd's record as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by the first round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go from Bantamweight to the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy with the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina and ground-and-pounded her in the second round to secure a TKO victory. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round, and was awarded her a night's performance bonus. Her first major fight came with her next bout at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision, as well as the Fight of the Night award was awarded to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd after 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
