One baby was strapped on my back, while another crawled around in the playground. I spent 12 hours days over months of sanding, and stripping wallpaper while carrying one kid. Ha! Everything was starting to fall in place, yet it was not quite done. The house would need lots of time and a love for shopping. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with my three boys in search for deals at estate sales. We would go from the week of Thursday through Saturday at garage sales and estate sales, buying old and new furniture. Then I painted and sanded the driveway in the week. What I saw looked something similar to... this is the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. I continued to restore furniture, even after having completed the renovation of our home. There was a market in the area to let me sell my pieces. I could outgrow the area because I had numerous pieces I could use. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses where up to 1,000 people could view items from my first floor before purchasing these items. Growing Days was created in this home. Growing Days was more than an incredibly successful business, but it was also a loving family. Being a new mom I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business and also being a decent mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora came into our lives in 2013 and became our fourth baby. Though I was content about the direction my company went, I was feeling like I needed to take a little break. I made the decision to take a break and stay in my home with my family. This was just the thing I needed. But after a short time, my phone began ringing. People contacted me asking to help them with decorating their homes and interiors. It was mostly those who came to my open residence to buy furniture. I began to take on customers one by one working at my own pace however it wasn't time before I was running multiple accounts and was running an entire home improvement business. When I first heard about my home renovation business I laughed. If I think back, it makes me giggle.
