Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top well-known actors. Her fame is as a strong actress but as fragile. In the summer, while working with her father's business Laura Linney was captivated with theatre. Later, at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. After two years of her graduation she started the beginning of her Broadway career. A few years later, she was she was on television. Innumerable appearances in film, TV as well as stage productions ever since. Over the course of her career, she won many awards, including her two Golden Globe Awards. The actress has received nominations for five Tony Awards and three Oscar Award nominations. But, in spite of her recognitions and awards, theater is her main interest and she is determined to act on both the stage and on screen.
