Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. This role has earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. She also received two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. The experience instilled a passion for theater.
She is a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The show has been a huge success, reaching the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She is the author of two books, The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that describes her journey from St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actor, as well as the upcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends That Were There (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey) This book provides an account of their most memorable friendship as well as their work in The Office.
